Easy Christmas Ornament Crafts

Use paper or plastic cups to create fun Christmas ornaments. Allow the glue to set between stages of application.

Materials

  • Paper or plastic cups
  • Acrylic paint
  • Pieces of tissue paper (various colors)
  • Pipe cleaners or chenille sticks
  • Glitter (various colors)
  • Pom-poms of various shapes and colors
  • Safety scissors
  • Modge Podge
  • Brushes or small sponges

Instructions

  1. Apply heavy coats of Modge Paint to the outside of the cup. 
  2. Optional: you can also apply on the inside too.
  3. Add glitter around the cup. 
  4. Let the glitter set and reapply with another coat of paint. 
  5. Another option is to apply heavy coats of acrylic paints to the outside of the cups. 
  6. Let the paint dry overnight or a few hours. 
  7. Apply a coat of Modge Podge to the outside of the cup. 
  8. Add glitter of various sizes and colors. 
  9. Let the glitter set and add more Modge Podge coating. 
  10. Adhere pom-poms or other decorative items. 
  11. Add a pipe cleaner attachment to the top of the cup to place the ornament on the tree.
